Thank you for your interest in the 2024 Sheffield Digital Skills Audit.

The purpose of this audit is to compile information from South Yorkshire digital and tech businesses, and businesses that rely on digital technology, about their current and future skills requirements and how well those are being met by education and training organisations and by the talent available in the region.

This information is important because there is no data focused specifically on our region’s professional-level digital skills needs. With your help, we can fill this gap and provide evidence to influence improved skills provision and policies. Therefore, we need to hear from you even if you are not currently recruiting.

We will use this information in the work we do with education, industry and the public sector. We also hope to support the ecosystem to be more progressive, inclusive and diverse. 

This survey should take around 20 minutes to complete and the questions we ask will cover a range of topics, from the organisation you’re working for to skills requirements, education and diversity. 

We only ask for your name and your company name to avoid duplication of responses. Please be assured that your data will be kept completely anonymous and individual data will not be released. We will only contact you to follow up if you have agreed to provide further information.

Who should complete this survey?

This survey is aimed at businesses and organisations that are either digital technology businesses (both software and hardware) or whose products or services require a team of people who have digital technology skills.

To answer the questions in this survey, you will need to know about your organisation’s use of digital technology and the skills that are required. You will also need to know about your organisation’s financial situation and hiring and staff development practices.
